PCI 6061 Aluminum Race Wing
The PCI wing W-4218 profile has around a 20% increase in down force with a significant reduction in drag compared to our previously sold fiberglass wing. We went with an Eppler 421 profile since it had the numbers we were looking for. This profile has been around for decades and has been used in numerous racing applications. Due to the very low drag this profile generates cars under 200 HP will see very minimal top end speed reduction. While higher HP cars can get away with larger wings with more down force this is not always a good thing since it may cause the car to be out of balance and generate understeer especially on front wheel drive cars. We found this wing size and profile to be optimal for smaller FWD cars under 3000 lbs using splitters 4? or less.
